Account number, sort code, cheques & wages

Osper is a little different from a normal bank and at the moment we don’t have traditional account numbers or sort codes like a high street bank. This means that it’s not possible to pay into an Osper card using bank transfers or cheques. There are some workarounds available however.

Paying in via bank transfer

As Osper doesn’t have an account number or sort code, it’s not possible to pay in directly using a bank transfer. An option would be for the person sending money to pay it into the parent account, who can then load money manually onto the Osper card.

Another option would be for the person sending money to send money using Osper gifts. This lets them type in their debit card details and send money directly.

Paying in via cheque

Because Osper doesn’t have branches, sort codes or account numbers, it’s not possible to pay in using a cheque. An option would be for the person sending money to pay it into the parent account, who can then load money manually onto the Osper card.

Another option would be for the person sending money to send money using Osper gifts. This lets them type in their debit card details and send money directly.

Paying in wages

Because Osper doesn’t sort codes or account numbers, it’s not possible to pay in wages using BACS or FPS (the normal way wages are paid). An option would be for the company paying you to instead pay it into the parent account, who can then load money manually onto the Osper card.
