Osper

Because Osper is designed for 8 - 18 year olds, and because it a prepaid card that is provided only with a basic identity check, there are some limits on how much can be loaded, spent and withdrawn as well limitations on where Osper can be used.

Spending & Withdrawal Limits

There are limits on how much can be spent and loaded onto an Osper card or within a family of Osper cards.

We have two sets of limits, a simplified set (meaning we’ve only been able to do a partial check on your identity) and the full set (meaning we have done a full identity check and you are on our highest possible limits).

It is possible to upgrade from the simplified to the full product. Simply email help@osper.com to request that.

Where can I use my Osper Card?

You can use your Osper Card anywhere that accepts MasterCard, except where the purchase is age-inappropriate.

Because Osper is for 8 - 18 year olds, we block transactions that could be for things that wouldn’t be suitable for that age range.

These can include;

  • Gambling/Betting (i.e. casinos, betting shops, betting websites)
  • Alcohol Establishment (i.e. pubs, nightclubs)
  • Dating/Escort Services (i.e. dating websites)
  • Inbound Teleservices
  • Automated Fuel Dispensers. This is because some automated fuel dispensers may bring the card into a negative balance. It is still possible to pay for petrol inside the petrol station, just not using the automated machines
  • Off-Licences
  • Tobacconists
  • Pornography

More details on this and what happens if we detect an age-inappropriate transaction is available in in the Osper Safety & Security section.
